Swedish Hill Collects Multiple Medals

Swedish Hill was recently awarded medals from The Pacific Rim International, Finger Lakes International and Great American Wine Competitions.

The Pacific Rim International Wine Competition was founded in 1985 by a group of winemakers, vintners and educators passionate about making great wines accessible to the public. The Pacific Rim Competition is held at the historic National Orange Show Fairgrounds in San Bernardino, California for two days in every April. Swedish Hill received gold medals for their 2017 Dry Riesling, 2017 Blue Waters Riesling and 2016 Maréchal Foch; their 2017 Chardonnay Riesling and 2017 Riesling  were awarded silver medals.

The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition is a world class competition for a world class cause. The competition benefits Camp Good Days and Special Times, a camp dedicated to bring smiles and memories to children with cancer since 2000! This year, Swedish Hill received a gold medal for their 2016 Cabernet Franc, and silver medals for their 2016 Maréchal Foch, Riesling Cuvée and Naturel.

The Great American Wine Competition provides world-class assessment and added exposure to wines with their most influential panel of judges including Masters of Wine to wine industry writers and consultants. They have also recently created The Raise A Glass Foundation (RAGF) was created to support charities around the world. Swedish Hill was awarded gold medals for their 2017 Blue Water Riesling and 2017 Dry Rieslings.  They were also awarded silver medals for Blanc de Blanc, 2017 Blue Waters Chardonnay Riesling and 2016 Cabernet Franc Lemberger.

“Our reputation for exceptional Finger Lakes Rieslings is well known, but many people may not know how good the reds have become” remarked Swedish Hill Co-Owner David Peterson.  “Our new release 2016 dry reds, the 2016 Cabernet Franc as well as the 2016 Marèchal Foch, both won golds in major international competitions, so anyone who hasn’t tried a FLX dry red recently is likely to be pleasantly surprised when they do.”
